The primary aim of the Arashi Journal of Metals & Material Sciences is to disseminate scientific knowledge globally. The credibility of our published research papers relies heavily on a rigorous peer review process. Therefore, our editors play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our journal.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all manuscripts meet the journal’s standards for quality and scientific integrity.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in research and publication.

Peer Review Process

  • Oversee a thorough and impartial peer review process.
  • Select qualified reviewers who provide constructive and timely feedback.
  • Understand that the peer review process is confidential and should not be shared with anyone outside the peer review process.
  • Strictly follow comments provided by peer reviewers and request authors to modify their manuscripts accordingly.
  • Automatically reject manuscripts that are inappropriate or out of scope of the journal.

Decision Making

  • Make fair and unbiased decisions on the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback to authors to help them improve their work.
  • Ensure editorial decisions are objective, autonomous, and non-discriminatory, adhering to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles regarding nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, gender, and religion.
  • The final decision regarding modification, acceptance, or rejection of a manuscript rests solely with the editor.
  • Discuss all matters regarding publication with the editorial board members before making a final decision.

Editorial Independence

  • Maintain editorial independence and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Ensure decisions are based solely on the manuscript’s scholarly merit.
  • Editors should look for the views of associate editors, authors, readers, reviewers, and editorial board members regarding ways of improving their journal's content.

Ethical Standards

  • If the author has used information from certain individuals, specifically in any of their medical or scientific records, the editorial team must ensure written consent from the individual for the record to qualify for publishing.
  • Investigate and report to the Editor-in-Chief if they receive information that a manuscript is plagiarized, under consideration elsewhere, or has already been published.
  • Check the validity of the scientific facts stated.
  • Ensure published content is original, with proper citation and naming of the original sources.

Confidentiality

  • Editorial staff must not disclose any information related to a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and other editorial staff.
